Bio

My name is Rachael M. Harris. I am an “Army brat” who has lived in North Carolina, Texas, Georgia, and Alabama. I graduated from The University of Alabama with a Bachelors of Science in English and a minor in African American Studies. I also have a Masters Degree in Business Administration. I am the wife of Andre Harris, Sr. and the daughter of Pastor Lorenza and Deborah James. I am the middle child with three brothers and one sister.

Currently I teach Pre-Ap English Language Arts 10, English Language Arts 10, and English Language Arts 11. Also, I am the 2018-2019 Cheerleading Coach and I work with the Robotics Marketing team. This year I also served as the Homecoming Committee Chairperson.

My hobbies include reading, writing, singing, cheerleading, and performing in stage plays. The most recent plays I participated in were “The Five Heartbeats!!”, “The Color Purple”, “Dream Girls”, and “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever”.

I have worked at Sumter Central High School for the past 3 years. I am excited about the wonderful things happening daily in Jaguar Nation!
