AES Scholarships

Jefferson State Academic Scholarship: Full tuition renewable for students with a minimum 22 ACT and 3.0 GPA. Get details and apply online. Deadline March. Check Website for date.


$5,000 renewable award is for first-generation college students. Parents can have no more than two years of college and no post-secondary degree. Requirements: ACT 20-27 and a minimum 2.5 GPA. Deadline February - Check Website for date.


GENERAL SCHOLARSHIP FOR ANY SCHOOL: Students entering the field of home building in the state of Alabama. Degrees include artisan trades such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, drafting, etc. Requires attendance at a state university or technical school. Award amount is not given. Deadline March. PLAYING WITH PURPOSE 10th, 11th, 12th Grades

Buick Achievers Scholarship Program

Receive up to $100,000 over four years.  This year 100 renewable $25,000 scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors and college undergraduates.  Scholarships are geared toward fields related to the automotive industry.   • Eligible High School seniors may apply to win a $5,000 scholarship by writing an essay about an African-American (past or present) who has inspired them.

Blacks at Microsoft Scholarships

Blacks at Microsoft (BAM) is a company-sponsored employee network dedicated to supporting the continued growth and development of black employees at Microsoft Corporation. This year, BAM will award two US$5,000 scholarships to outstanding high-school seniors who are interested in pursuing careers in technology.
